The soul of Andalucia in the walled garden
Opening our Spanish Sunday on 24th May 2026, Flamenca delivers a captivating trio performance that fuses the raw power of traditional flamenco with jazz and world influences. This is more than a concert; it is a truly immersive experience where the intense sounds of hand clapping, rhythmic footwork, and exquisite guitar playing transport you straight to the heart of Southern Spain.
The group brings together three masters of the craft, known for their work with the renowned ensemble ‘Flamenco Loco’:
Aneta Skut (Dancer): Originally from Poland, Aneta’s soul was captured by flamenco, leading her to study at the legendary Amor de Dios in Madrid and with icons like Antonio Canales. Her expressive style reflects a lifelong journey through different cultures, blending East and West into every movement.
Cuffy Cuthbertson (Guitar): A Glasgow-born virtuoso with an “extraordinary level of technique.” Cuffy studied under masters like Gerardo Nuñez and tours internationally with the likes of Yasmin Levy, bringing a world-class precision to the festival stage.
Kostka Garcia (Vocals/Percussion): Hailing from Northern Spain, Kostka is the rhythmic heartbeat of the trio. A regular collaborator and Rockschool examiner, he brings authentic Spanish vocals and percussive depth to the performance.
“The intense sounds of hand clapping, foot stomping, singing and exquisite guitar playing will transport you to Andalucia!”
